Range of use

A mixture of polimeric sealants and sand to be used as a grout for natural stone floors. It hardens once you add water and remains stable preventing the growing of weeds and the washing out due to rain, wind and frost. It's the ideal solution for swimming pools edges, garage ramps and any other inclined surface. The base must be made of draining sand or crushed stone, no simple sand or concrete.

Advantages

  • Ready in 48 hours
  • It absorbs expansion and mitigates vibrations
  • Unalterable in time
  • Easy to use

Application

Fill in the empty spaces between tiles with Softfuga when the floor is dry and there is an inclination of at least 1% (1cm every mt). Clean out the excess grout maintaining the Softfuga level 3mm under the tiles level. Scatter the sand and water it without exaggerating until grout retains the water (30 secs). Do not walk on the surface for at least 4 hours. Do not use it when temperatures go below 0°C, or on wet surfaces. Do not use it if it might rain in the next 3 hours. Do not use it if the tiles are laid on concrete or other non-draining materials or if the draining materials are less than 15 cm thick. Do not use it when the inclination is not enough for the water to drain.

Amount required

On average you need 3-4 kg every m2 for 8/10 cm cubes. As for tiles it depends on the dimension of  spaces left between tiles and on the material used to fill them in.

Where to use it

Excellent for pedestrian and light trafficked areas (yards, swimming pools edge, pavements)
